We interviewed Monique Duson from The Center for Biblical Unity. Monique has been a missionary in Africa, worked as a social worker, and is now engaged in full time ministry. In this interview we start off with why Monique is a Christian, what made her change her mind about Critical Race Theory, and how the early church can inform us about racial issues.
When You Share the Gospel with an Atheist
Dr. Matthew Burford has recently been published on the Website Radical.
“Evangelizing is not simply a matter of teaching and instructing and imparting information to the mind,’ said J.I. Packer, “Evangelizing includes the endeavor to elicit a response to the truth taught.” This quote gets to the heart of the complicated and often messy matter of gospel conversations.
Our faith as Christians is bound up with deep and often mysterious longings, emotions, and thoughts. While Scripture charges us to be “evangelistic,” our efforts to communicate our faith are often met with stress and trepidation. We fear our evangelistic calling not only because we question our own rhetorical skills, but also because we all know intuitively that mere words lack the power to communicate the totality of our experience with God.
Dr. Neil Shenvi – God and Man at Berkeley
We’ve got Dr. Neil Shenvi on for our third time now. Specifically to talk to him about how he became a Christian while in college. After talking with Neil about Critical Theory a few months back, he mentioned that he had become a christian later in life. Our focus is always on Christ, and as such, this seemed like a good story that needed to be told.
A Gospel Conversation on Race
What is Race, White Fragility, Ethnicity, and Christianity have to do with each other. Matt Burford, Drs. Neil Shenvi, Calvin Bell, Keelan Adams, & Tameka Moment are gathered together in this podcast to have a meeting of the minds about some of the most divisive ideas in our culture today. Our expectation going into this was to have a clear, civil, and concise discussion about these issues. Please join us as we take a deeper dive on what it means to be racist.
Recovering the Supernatural Worldview of the Bible
Join Matt Burford (our President) and Dave Jones (Founding Member) as they interview Michael Heiser about the spiritual world. What do we as Christians need to believe about the supernatural world and how far do we take the unseen world? In an increasingly secular culture, we need to recover our ability and willingness to claim a supernatural world as our won in a Christian Worldview.
